Ouch! I agree, too expensive.  Actually the place is large enough, that if 10-12 people showed up they could accomidate us. Tues probably is not a busy day.

I wouldn't think we'd want to be paying as there are numerous occasions when only a few members turn up to the club meeting and I suspect we'd be liable for the full bill

I just called McMenamins Kennedy School to see what they have to offer. I've been there, and parking is generous and paved. I spoke with Beth, who handles their meeting rooms. They have a room that can handle 20 people, and requires a food/beverage minimum of $300 on weekdays. They have a larger room that handles 40, and has a food/beverage minimum of $450 (weekdays).  Food is ordered from their restaurant menu, and they provide a single bill rather than individual ones.  They add an automatic 18%. Booking the room requires $150 down, which is applied to the Food/Beverage order. There is no other charge beyond the Food/beverage. Beth said their rooms have doors, and are quiet.
