The three-rotor 20B-REW was only used in the 1990-1995 Eunos Cosmo. It was the world's first volume production twin-turbo setup featured in both 13B-REW & 20B-REW form. It displaced 1962 cc (three 654 cc rotors) and used 0.7-bar (70 kPa) of turbo pressure to produce 300 horsepower (224 kW) and 407 newton metres (300 ft?lbf).

    2013 Evora S Prices?   
Hi all,

Been looking for a 2013 S, 2+2 IPS. Prices are all over the place. Met one guy who knew a lot but most dealers/Salespeople know nothing about the cars?

Also many dealers are sitting on new 2011's and 12's, some are discontinuing Lotus altogether but wont price the cars to actually move, its as though they want out of selling lotus completely but don't want to sell the cars?

Whats the best price i can expect for an S 2+2automatic, might be interested in purchasing two? I see one for $74k new.

When you receive your ELCC membership renewal notice, you might like to consider purchasing one of the "hot off the presses" 2014 ELCC calendars. ELCC-member Mark Gleason put the calendar together this year and it's pretty good looking.

Of course, there are pictures of Lotus cars featured each month of the year and as a glimpse at what these pictures look like, I've attached the one that is featured for the month of January.

As you might guess, this picture was taken of part of the Lotus cars that assembled in the parking lot of the Red Lion Hotel in Bellevue during last summer's West Coast Lotus Meet... you can see 25 Lotus cars (plus the green and yellow "box truck" from the Golden Gate Lotus Club) in this colorful picture, and that isn't even all the cars that were there!

Plus, there are a lot of other really great pictures in the calendar.

It is perfectly alright that you forwarded my message about the 2014 ELCC calendar to members of CLNW and I'd be more than happy to send a copy (or copies) of the calendar to any of your members who might like one (or more).

The price for a copy of our club's 2014 calendar is $18 (including shipping/mailing) and if any of your club's members would like to send a check (made payable to the ELCC) directly to my home address (220 West Howe Street, Seattle, Wash. 98119) that would help expedite things, seeing as how I have the box of calendars at my house, and besides, we seem to be having a bit of an "issue" with our club's Post Office Box right now.

From what I can tell this is a car that I purchased in Portland but I can?t exactly remember the year. I built the wing and still have the mold for it.? It had been damaged ?on the right rear that was repaired by the previous owner ?and had stress cracks showing only in cold weather. I sold it to person who owned a graphic printing service in the South end, like Tacoma or Puyallup. The electronic were sort of messed up a little also, nothing to bad just bypassed relays and such.

THEORY BY JOSEPH LUCAS 

Positive 
ground depends on proper circuit functioning, which is the transmission of 
negative ions by retention of the visible spectralmanifestation known as 
?smoke?. Smoke is the thing that makes electrical circuits work.?We know 
this to be true because every time one lets the smoke out of an electrical 
circuit, it stops working.?This can be verified repeatedly through 
empirical testing.

For example, if one places a copper bar across the 
terminals of a battery, prodigious quantities of smoke are liberated and the 
battery shortly ceases to function. In addition, if one observes smoke escaping 
from an electrical component such as a Lucas voltage regulator, it will also be 
observed that the component no longer functions.?The logic is elementary 
and inescapable!

The function of the wiring harness is to conduct the 
smoke from one device to another.?When the wiring springs a leak and lets 
all the smoke out of the system, nothing works afterward.

Starter motors 
were considered unsuitable for British motorcycles for some time largely because 
they consumed large quantities of smoke, requiring very unsightly large 
wires.

It has been reported that Lucas electrical components are possibly 
more prone to electrical leakage than their Bosch, Japanese or American 
counterparts.?Experts point out that this is because Lucas is British, and 
all things British leak.?British engines leak oil, British shock absorbers, 
hydraulic forks and disk brake systems leak fluid, British tires leak air and 
British Intelligence leaks national defense secrets.

Therefore, it 
follows that British electrical systems must leak smoke. Once again, the logic 
is clear and inescapable.

In conclusion, the basic concept of 
transmission of electrical energy in the form of smoke provides a logical 
explanation of the mysteries of electrical components especially British units

Hello everybody:

Just thought that maybe a few of you might like to know that the February 2014 issue (which I received in the mail today) of the Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine is full of some pretty interesting information about Lotus cars.

First of all,? Richard Lentinello (the Executive Editor) wrote a short one-page article about Lotus cars in general, but in particular mentioned the Lotus Elan +2 model because he's been wanting to buy one for some time.? 

Secondly, there's an interesting one-page article written by Jim Donnelly (one of the magazines Senior Editors) about Mike Costin, his relationship with his brother Frank, Keith Duckworth, Colin Chapman and others.

Then Richard Lentinello comes back later in the magazine to write a multi-page "Buyer's Guide" article about the 1980-1987 Lotus Turbo Esprit... why to buy one, what to look for and how to choose the one you want.

All very interesting.

Hey Mark:

I'm glad that you "forwarded" my e-mail message about the February 2014 issue of Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine to members of CLNW, but there's something that I forgot to mention that I thought was pretty interesting. 

The last thing in the article about the 1980-1987 Lotus Turbo Esprit was (helpfully) a list several companies that can supply almost everything that can keep your Lotus Esprit (and/or most other Lotus models) running nicely and in good repair... that'd be, our friends at: Dave Bean Engineering; JAE; R.D. Enterprises Ltd., and; RS Motorsports.

While I'm sure that in this day & age of computers and www websites, you can find almost anything (including parts for Lotus cars) anywhere in the world, it's still nice to know that there are several companies here in the good old USA who stock and warehouse many parts for our cars (especially the older ones!).

Hello everybody:

Just thought that maybe a few of you might like to know that the February 2014 issue (which I received in the mail today) of the Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine is full of some pretty interesting information about Lotus cars.

First of all,? Richard Lentinello (the Executive Editor) wrote a short one-page article about Lotus cars in general, but in particular mentioned the Lotus Elan +2 model because he's been wanting to buy one for some time.? 

Secondly, there's an interesting one-page article written by Jim Donnelly (one of the magazines Senior Editors) about Mike Costin, his relationship with his brother Frank, Keith Duckworth, Colin Chapman and others.

Then Richard Lentinello comes back later in the magazine to write a multi-page "Buyer's Guide" article about the 1980-1987 Lotus Turbo Esprit... why to buy one, what to look for and
 how to choose the one you want.

All very interesting.

Former F1 champion Michael Schumacher critically injured while skiing

Seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher is in critical condition
after he suffered a head injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps
Sunday.

The hospital where he is being treated, The French Mountain Gendarmerie,
said the 44-year-old arrived in a coma and underwent brain surgery after
sustaining a serious head trauma.

The hospital said Schumacher was wearing a helmet when he had a hard fall
at the Meribel resort. In a statement, the resort said Schumacher was
conscious when rescuers arrived on the scene.

Additionally, orthopedic and trauma surgeon Gerard Saillant had traveled
from Paris to the Grenoble hospital to examine Schumacher. German news
agency dpa said it was Saillant who operated on Schumacher when he broke
his leg during a crash at the Silverstone race course in 1999.

In an email to The Associated Press, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm said
the retired driver was on a private skiing trip and "fell on his head."

"We ask for understanding that we cannot give running updates on his
condition. He wore a helmet and was not alone," Kehm said. Schumacher's
14-year-old son was skiing with his father when the accident happened, the
resort said.

In addition to the crash at Silverstone, Schumacher was hurt seriously in a
motorcycling accident in February 2009 in Spain when he suffered neck and
spine injuries. He recovered sufficiently from those injuries to make a
comeback in F1.

Schumacher retired in 2006 after winning five straight titles with Ferrari
following two earlier ones with Benetton. He came back to the sport in 2010
and drove for three seasons for Mercedes without much success before
retiring again last year.
