Mark, I have looked into drives/routes and air museums for Saturday June 29th.
I think the Tillamook air museum will be a better choice, the roads getting to it look like more fun than mcminville and the Tillamook museum is $9 entry fee vs mcminville being a $25 per person entry fee.
 
So here is the plan.
We will meet at the Main St Pizza parking lot in Banks OR at 9:30AM
680 S Main St, Banks, OR
We will leave promptly at 9:45 If people think they may be running late they can call me at 503-730-6743
From there we will head to The Tillamook Air Museum
6030 Hangar Rd, Tillamook, OR
This will be about a 1 hour drive down Highway 6 which is pretty curvy and should be a nice drive.
We will arrive at the air museum around 11 and can have an early lunch in their 40’s and 50’s café which serves traditional burgers, fries and shakes.

After lunch we can view the museum and head home!
 
I have also found that the Museum is not moving until probably 2015 so this is a good chance to see it before it moves to Madras. Let me know if you have any questions.
