On TV it seems all the alcoholics always know where to find an AA meeting no matter what time of day or night. Our cars are a different kind of addiction, but I find it somewhat amusing that I managed to show up at a Lotus club meeting 1200 miles from home. Thank you for making me feel welcome. I had a good time.

I live in Denver but am employed by a Portland company, so I'm in town every now and then. I decided a while ago that I should reach out to the local lotus club and see if its possible to run laps at PIR. Long story short, I decided to join you for your track day this year. I'm still early in the planning stage, obviously, but am already excited
 about it.

The trip will be anchored around track day on 8/29. I've already lined up a three day trip on the Deschutes River. And it looks like I'll be able to squeeze in a day at Oregon Raceway Park.  I'd be happy to hear suggestions for good Lotus roads in the region that I might be able to include on the way here or the way home. And if there are any hikers on this list, I'll have a day or three for day hikes on Mt Hood or Olympic National Park (in the 8-12 mile round trip range) and suggestions are welcome.

I look forward to meeting new friends and chatting again with friends made last night.
