My beautiful Ardent red Lotus Elise, 6 years later.
Hello folks,

I bought this car 6 years ago from a member on this forum.
There is probably a record of that on this forum if you search my name.
It's a 2005 model, you know with the aluminum pedals and direct throttle control. She's Loaded with every available feature. Plus some.

She was hand crafted for someone and still has the plaque ( Hand made for ....)

I sold a minty C5 Corvette to buy it. Because when I saw it.....there was just no other sports car.

   Gorkoracing's 06 Exige build
I purchased my 06 Exige about 2 years ago but havent gotten around to making a build thread until now so what better time than the present so sorry for the length of this first post and all the pics. The car must have been modded some before as Stan's shifter mod was done I noticed and the intake snorkel was already removed. The Stock exige seats had been replaced with Magnolia Elise Probax seats for some reason and it doesnt have LED tail lights  Clean carfax when I got it though.

   Cant believe Im posting this
. Severe front-end damage to my Elise.
Sad day, as probably one of the worst nightmares for us Elise owners became a reality for me.

During some spirited driving today with my local auto club, I went against a guardrail. A left turn with some gravel/debris plus a mistake on my own for going to fast into the corner, landed me sweeping the very hard guardrail.

Luckily Im ok, as I hit the rail at approximately 35 mi/h, but the angle of the impact meant that most of the force was transferred to the wheel and then to the control arm and finally to the frame.
